Stewart Karmburmar Hoosan Works on Paper
Karen Brown Fine Art Gallery
Apr 01 2026 - Oct 31 2026
Stewart’s paintings are characterised by intricate detail. I have been eagerly anticipating their arrival. His work demonstrates remarkable patience, care and pride in his country and its history. Several earlier coloured landscapes possess a moody quality that evokes the changing seasons and times of day on the stock routes. Inks and acrylic mediums are used. From *Ringer of the North* Stewart continues to explore the pastoral history of the Gulf, Queensland and Western Australia. The people and places he recalls are named and honoured. His work captures a life lived across a vast landscape.
